Impact
Clean, contracted power for a grid that needs it.
80 MW of new solar generation delivered to Mozambique’s national grid under long-term contract — combining measurable climate impact with development benefit.
Green bond framework alignment
Structured in alignment with the ICMA Green Bond Principles, with an independent second-party opinion planned. (Alignment is a process standard — not an ICMA certification.)
1
Use of proceeds
Proceeds are ring-fenced for eligible green projects — utility-scale renewable generation and grid connection — via milestone-linked draws.
2
Project evaluation & selection
Assets are selected against contracted off-take, grid-connection authorization, and bankability criteria proven on the Gaza lead asset.
3
Management of proceeds
Funds are tracked through the dedicated SPV and released against construction and grid-connection milestones.
4
Reporting
Generation, capacity delivered, and use-of-proceeds reporting are provided to bondholders over the life of the bond.
Development benefits include new grid-connected capacity for an import-dependent region, construction and operations employment, and hard-currency revenue anchored by a sovereign utility. Impact figures are based on modelled generation; the Gaza asset is fully modelled and Manica is extrapolated at 140%.
